Agree, Ezy. Fantastic to see the best player in the AFL win the coveted award in such dominant fashion. He certainly wasn’t taken for granted by PREnders. Personally, I would’ve made him All-Australian captain as well as giving him the Brownlow despite jobbing someone. But not even Dustin Martin can win everything at once.Great Work thanks Sammy.
In all seriousness, there should be an actual PRE player of the year medal struck and presented.
a suggestion.
The points get skewed by the number of posters that vote.
The top 5 or so vote getters for the round should be awarded points for the round ie top vote getter gets 5, 2nd 4, 3rd 3, 4th 2 and 5th 1.
This way a player won't get a massive amount of points in one game like dusty in the gf for example.
Thanks Sammy, great job again. I'd favour giving 5-4-3-2-1 instead of 3-2-1, but that's probably a bit more work for you!
Perfectly reasonable Harry, but the current method is different and interesting, because it does skew based on the result or importance of the game. I like that being the best player in a big win is worth more than the best player in a poor loss- at least I like it in our voting as a point of difference.a suggestion.
