Thought it was pretty self-explanatory. They are individual awards within a team game. They don't carry the same status as the premiership. The premiership is the ultimate goal, has always been the ultimate goal since football began. To name it after one individual is elevating that person to a status as big as the game itself. Doesn't seem right to me.Why?
I think it's OK with individual awards, it's an acknowledgement of their (the person the award is named after) contribution.
