I know there are all sorts of perils associated with dealing with the bombers but if there is one player that would propel us to next level it is Zac.
Is he is waiting to see what is around?
What does everyone here think?

Hmmm, what’s the “next level” after consecutive premierships?

I suppose three in a row!

Is he contracted? I had heard he wasn't happy but Essendon will move heaven and earth to keep him you'd reckon.

If we where interested it would next year, free agent, not this year.
Dodoro would want 23 first rounders.
If Broad leaves we would look at plsyers like Will Brodie and the Breust look alike Sexton.
O'Halloren from the giants is on shopping list too.

I read that he’s contracted for ‘21 and wants Zac Williams type money.

he is worth the money - i think he addresses our biggest deficiency perfectly - kicking inside 50.
we dont need older players like Bruest - if we are going to pay big $'s - lets make sure we get a star!

Contracted so you are going to have to deal with the Dodo Bird.

Good luck as he will request 2 x first rounders.

If they have a shocker next year go after him then.

we would have to get him to request a trade to us.
maybe they want to avoid another Daniher type situation

Not a bad player but an accumulator only. Market rate a lot higher than his worth - pass.

Merrett is far more likely next year and probably makes sense with 2 potentially 3 retirees next year (Jack, Houli and possibly Cotch). Would provide us some cap space to offer him the coin needed, Bombers get a top 10 pick out of him.

Reckon he's better than you state he is. I'd say their gameplan doesn't get the best out of him. That slow slow approach means he accumulates, but he's an excellent kick of the footy and would be a good acquisition it we got him.

I'd be surprised if the club hasn't asked Dudoro the question albeit his notorious reputation

With the Dodo and Sheedy there, forget it. Not worth wasting your time as they would be asking for Martin and Lynch

Our inside 50's are not our biggest deficiency in fact far from it I would of thought.

First of all I don't follow him that much cause I've never seen him as a player to follow if you get my drift.

IMO he is not consistent so I don't see how he takes us to the 'next level'.

Would rather give our kids more time in the ring next year.

If we target Zak then good but if not...

I know a lot of us would have liked Merrett to join the Tigers soon buuut...

I’ve been watching Merrett more this season, he’s is an accumulator, nice player but……
