Given the results of this round, I have a strong feeling that Schwab will get the boot or resign especially after saying that they could win the flag.

Wallace would be the number one coach not currently employed at the moment, I have no doubt that if approached would go back to his old club Hawthorn.

With Malthouse also in strife, would he now be in the mix?

id rather coach richmond than the hawks, i really do thnk we have a better list. i think wallace thinks that aswell.

Hearing the Hawks v Cats on 3AW, when the commentator was going through other results and mentioned the Tigers' win, Terry Wallace added a bit more information on how good the Tigers won, but mentioned nothing on other teams' wins.

Tell you the truth, he sounded excited in his voice.

I got info from an insider at hawthorn that they wont take wallace back. Dont know if its true but thats the word.

From what I remember from back in the late 80's/early 90's (one too many shiny disco balls!!!) Terry Wallace left some enemies at Hawthorn and they have long memories, even when the Hawks were rattling around with Knights and Judge after the glory days the word was Wallace would never get a gig back at Glenferrie and why would you want to now of all times!! They would have the laziest bunch of players of all time and there is cancer amongst the group in the shape of some ordinary individuals...every year there has been trouble there in recent times...we won't name names but cast your minds back ...The Glenferrie Hotel brings this lot undone every season.

Yeah......I noticed that aswell.

It seems that Terry is in love with us all of a sudden.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has agreed to coach us next year already.

It would be a big call to replace a premiership coach. ;)

Would love to see Spud take us into the finals. ;)
Hey Rosy, could we then have a week of visting the archives at PRE ;)

Have insomea tonight (watching replay of game - writing will tape rewinds again), but right there with you Rosy !!!

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, we are still in the hunt for the 8. Well at this stage.

Did anyone see between the game the other night (mother's Day special), Sheedy and his mom. His mom was letting rip to Sheedy that he should go back to the Tigers. She likes Frawley but wanted a better man at the helm. Sheedy had a smirk on his face while rockin' his head like a son not listening. Bugger..

Schwab is gone! Hell be the first to go for sure.
We'll be competing against the Hawks, Port and who knows who else for a coach in 2005. We should have done this all last year and had new coach for 2004 ::)

One from left feild .......... Mark Williams

At least he'd inject some skill into the team.

And as the G is our home groung we shouldn't choke like port if we played in finals.

Schwab has a contract for next year. I doubt Hawthorn will pull the plug on him. Depends how they go for the remainder of the year, I guess. Remember we are only 7 games into the season.....plenty of time for Hawthorn to become at least half respectable and for Schwab to continue for next year. Hawthorn generally don’t sack coaches mid-term.

Did anyone notice how low key Splud was after the game yesterday ? His whole demeanour was on the flat side. After the game he was wandering around on the ground rather aimlessly. He just seemed a bit deflated to me compared with other post victory situations.

What chance the club has already told him he won't coach next year and that they have commenced the replacement process do you think ?

Rosy, nothing would make me happier than for Danny to take us into the finals.

Would be interesting if we did make it to September and had some success?

And yes, Wallace is all over the Tiges, has been since mid 2003.

As much as Hawks fans want Wallace I dont think he would go back, and besides he does want to coach a Big Four club (Tiges, Bummers, Scumwood, Mafia-ville) so unless Malthouse and Sheedy go I think we are in prime position for Wallace if we want him.

From what been thrown around I say Wallace has the job in the bag already.

Ahhhhh.......little red riding hood.........very observant.

noticed that also

I went to the function after the match, I think Danny just wanted to get the 'ell out of Dodge- they all looked pretty tired.

Well I stil dont think our list is as bad as Frawley developed it. Which is why under a good coach with this CURRENT squad we would be regular 6-9 contenders which is consistent finals. With the inclusion of the right players and developed juniors we can do something.

Regardless of what happens this year (in realistic terms), Spud will go. Schwab will stay this year. Everything will come out at the end of the year. I just think we offer more to Wallace than what the Hawks do.

NEWS FLASH: Spud will not be coaching Richmond next year. Replacement Schwab. :(
