I couldnt help myself after our win on Sundya but to look forward to our fixture. With the propsec of a top eight position i was interested to assess our real chances of making the eight. The month of July will be our reckoning.
The Tigers must have one the hardest stretches of matches of all the clubs this season in rounds 14 to 17. Bribane at the Gabba, Essendon at the 'G', St Kilda at the dome, and Melbourne at the 'G'.
Thats an intimidating four matches with all these teams running hot. If we can win two of them we will make the eight.
However even with our two wins in the past week, i cant see us winning these ones yet. The Tigers will have to string some wins together before then to have some momentum and confidence going into July.
The hardest thing is to have the Gabba match first up. They can really demolish teams up there and a group like our could take a month to recover.
Oh well at least is nice to at least be talking up our chances. Two weeks ago we couldnt have seen our next win coming.
