Given that this round had the top 8 teams playing each other and maybe a pre cursor to the finals I have looked at the team stats for for each game played.Just the tackle and free kick count.
Melb v Bris 68 tackles apiece 13 /11 free kick count.

Carlton v Freo. 52/43 tackles. 18/20 free kicks

Sydney v St Kilda 56/61 tackles. 27/12 free kicks

Cats v Tiges 40/48 tackles. 26/13 free kicks.

So what did the Tiges and Saints do wrong? And regarding the Tiges game combined tackles of 88,compared to the Mel/Bris game with 136 tackles and a result that Geelong received two more than the combined free kick count of both teams?

It's a rigged competition. Said so long time ago. And we have committed the cardinal sins of winning at least two more flags than the AFL expected, are willing to tolerate, and certainly were not prescribed.

Tigers started slow and spent 2 much petrol playing catch up and paid the price late.

Yes 'did not come to play' as that dumb saying goes, but we looked cold, anxious and weak in Q1. Lots of poor disposal, mistakes, bad decisions. Had to fight back from ~33pts down. Got 17 ahead and run down again. Clear signs of not being the old Richmond in '22 .... yet.

Can we find a full 4Q effort at 100% by finals ... if we make it?

Saints can figure out their own issues. Personally I think they have too many players whose names starts with "J".

RFC need to figure out how to hold onto a lead late in games.

That stat about the number of tackles in the Melb v Bris game and yet only 24 free kicks in the whole game. Yet we see over 35 free kicks in all the other games listed above.

All games are umpired the same, the rules are adjudicated consistently across all games? Yeah right, pigs loaded and ready to fly!

Sydney & Geeelong are the AFL darlings.
Gill likes his toes sucked and these two clubs know how to get him off

Just a standard game for us free kick wise. Saw a stat yesterday showing us as dead set last on the free kick differential ladder again with daylight 17th.

We both played umpires favourites.
Swans are 15th & Cats 6th after 15 rounds so far on the free kick differential ladder.

1st Dogs + 66
2nd Blues + 39
3rd Crows + 29
4th Dees + 22
5th Pies + 18
6th Cats + 8
7th Giants + 4
8th Lions + 2
9th Freo + 1
10th Suns - 2
11th Bombers - 4
12 North - 10
13th Port - 16
14th Hawks - 17
15th Swans - 17
16th Eagles - - 22
17th Saints - 29
18 Surprise surprise Tigers - 72

So in all reality both sides just had a normal weekend.

So on average Richmond are -5 frees each week. Footscray are +4.4 frees each week. That’s a difference of 9.5 free kicks difference each week. Amazing.

I know we gave away the odd undisciplined free kick but surely not to the extent where we are constantly receiving less frees than the opposition.
