"Former Richmond and West Adelaide ruckman Paddy Steinfort has been appointed to the new position of Leadership Development Manager."

Got caught out at Richmond by being neither a ruckman or a key position player. Strangely that would have made him an ideal Stefan Martin type backup these days, but back then it was death. Then all the injuries. Was an assistant coach at Coburg ages and ages ago. He has done well to get back into the AFL. Must have done some hard yards somewhere. Always felt sorry for him being cast as another great-white-hope at Richmond when he was always going to be up against it, but seemed a good bloke.

Strategy and Innovation Coach ;D

Leadership Development Manager

No such thing as an Assistant Coach anymore at the Crows

There's worse things in life than being a good bloke Scribblar. Good luck to Paddy, hope he does well in his career advancements.

Don't know who was a bigger dud? Him, Matty Francis or Scotty homewood!

Tough call zippadee Steinfort had some horrible injuries that culled his career with us

Could not agree more. So did Matty Francis. Injury free, Francis could have been anything.

Agree Monty, Matty spoke up at the Brisbane function and lamented the injuries. Be an interesting type now.

(Is now a high school teacher in Brisbane)

Surely you jest. Matty is/was a lovely bloke but to say he could have been anything is taking it a wee bit far.

'Anything' does cover a lot though ;) But because he went to Collingwood he ended up 'nothing'

He was talented, but so have many of the kids been that we have drafted over the years, and whose careers we have buried.
