OK. I have a problem.

Love Friday nite footy and would be cheering for the Tigers to finish the season on a high, celebrate with a good glass of red and then sit back in a mellow state and ponder how good winning the 2010 premiership would be (OK ...maybe I would have drunk more than a glass).

HOWEVER

If we do win we could climb two spots on the ladder and end up with pick 5 in the draft rather than pick 3.

Is it worth being miserable if we happen to beat the Weagles because we drop from 3-5 in the draft just for a win in a nothing match....or is our recruiting that bad no matter where we finish we will select a dud.

Well you always want the best possible pick, and many good judges have this as a 3-4 player draft so the difference could be huge.

But on the other hand if you look at history you can make a good case that the difference between 3 and 5 is not to great.

Personally I want pick 3, but if we win because some of our young kids tear the game apart I could live with it.

Life is far too short to waste being miserable about winning a game of footy. What will be will be. Open another bottle and toast your blessings. :beer

:gotigers

Its pick 3 or pick 4

If we beat WCE, and the Kangas lose to Port, the only way we can overtake the Kangas to go up to pick 5 is if the margin (our winning margin and their losing margin combined) is roughly around the 130 point mark

:hihi, yeah I think we might be safe on that one

Tiges had a pretty bruising game last week.
The kids are tired and they want to go home.
On form WCE should do the biz and #2 posy in draft should be ours.
Could have been better (thanks Jordan) but could have been worse.
Such is life.

As long as they are prepared to tank . Why dont we get the Claremont Tigers to play for us on Friday?

Win = pick 4
lose = pick 3

Not really fussed. Only way I would be annoyed is if come draft day Melb take Butcher + Scully, Freo skip over Moraibto and take Trengove and we're left with the rest.

Also, as long as our win isn't carried by our older players, that's heartbreaking.

Couldn't have said it better myself. However I am surprised this comment has come from Captain Tanker. ;)

Everytime West Coast kick a goal from a home town decision and you're ready to tear your hair out, look at this picture:

If he missed that goal and they won they would not have beaten freo....melbourne have done the tank hardcore....blatantly and without shame.

Looking at that pic makes me angry.....I think it looks like two Tiger key position players in an aggressive mood.

I know we breed our KP's small but that pic gives me paws for thought. ;D

It wowuld be possible if footy games went for 1 quarter only. Tigers up by 3 goals at quarter time and Port up by 15 goals. However for a full game we'd find the Tiger down at the end by a fighting 22 points and Port finding another way to lose the unloseable.
