Often I read discussion about what people have watched and wished I'd known it was going to be on. It would be great to read about people's intended viewing, what they're looking forward to, upcoming docos, movies, series etc.

Two I fancy from today's ABC email are tonight.

Louis Theroux explores dementia
ABC2 Monday 8.30pm
Louis Theroux spends time with America's growing population of dementia sufferers and explores how families maintain relationships with their loved ones even as the building blocks of personality and character are eroded. As Louis discovers, dementia is not just a disease of the elderly, it can strike people in their 40s and sometimes even earlier.

Coniston
ABC1 Monday 9.30PM
More than 80 years after the brutal slaughter of 100 or more Aboriginal people in Central Australia, their descendents relate their story. It tells the tragic tale of Australian contact history; dispossession by pastoralists and the struggle over resources in a drought-afflicted land. Coniston, was awarded the best Docudrama Award at the recent 2012 ATOM awards.

Love Louis Theroux but abc 2 have shown his Austism ep 3 times in about 6 weeks!

I'll keep an eye out for this on our satellite channel, Australianetwork.

For an Australian public schooled 54 year old, who was never even made aware of this happening, both socially and through Government education, it will be sad belated viewing.

Thanks Rosy! I love Louis Theroux and haven't seen this one.

That's because half it's viewers have alzheimers ;D

Seriously though check out the Bill Hicks doco when it next comes on. It was on 'The best of Sunday' this week. A real eye opener and a great story.

Russel Brand on addiction was really good also.

Sorry these have already been shown but I'm sure they'll be aired again.

yeah, wanted to see the Bill Hicks one.

On other tv show matters I'm glad to see there's a bit of a groundswell against the ridiculous amount of promos for: The Block, My kitchen rules. I don't watch them but I'd NEVER watch them after the disgusting amount of sickening
Promotion they've had!

the israeli version (the original version) of homeland starts tonite at 8:30 on SBS. its called prisoners of war.

Considered this thread and realised that there is NO planning that takes place regarding my television viewing.

"Allstars. Don't know why they're calling us allstars"

Give me Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Dexter please...

I wonder what's keeping The Biggest Loser from starting? Still haven't seen a promo on Channel 10 as it usually starts on the last Sunday of January.

House of Cards, available through Netflix, is really good. West Wing with a nasty streak running through it. Kevin Spacey as peeved House Whip, passed over for SecState.

House of Cards,

I loved that. Would love to see it again. There were 2 or 3 related series weren't there. From memory one was To Play The King. Not sure about the other. Gee the ABC used to have some brilliant stuff.
