Two great icons passed today.

Margaret Thatcher
Whether you liked Thatcher or not, the influence of her policies affected Britain for the next 20-30 years.
A working/middle class girl who rose to top power.

Annette Funicello
You may need to be my generation or earlier, but Funicello's influence on a generation of TV & movie watching Baby Boomers was enormous.

Sad to hear, especially Annette Funicello's decaying health over the last 20 years.

This Margaret Thatcher interview with George Negus is still a classic on how hard this woman was.

'Ding dong the witch is dead' went to No1 in the iTunes chart, and No3 in the official UK chart.

The UK Sun reports that some of the munchkins are not happy ....

Hated her with a passion. Her position on the apartheid Sth Africa and Nelson Mandela made her a racist, fascist 'B' in my book.

Also if it weren't for her, Rupert Murdoch would only be assistant editor of the Wagga Wagga Post today.
