A win tomorrow will put us at least 4th on the ladder.

St Kilda will try to come out hard in the first quarter after their loss last week and the incident at training. C'mon Tiges, get on the offensive from the start as the Saints' confidence will fall away quickly if things don't go their way initially. We are a much better side than they are. Switch on and go in hard from the start.

Car'n the Tigers!

Yeah, a top 4 position is available, maybe even 3rd position if we win by a decent margin.

However, in the last three games (including todays game if we win), we've played in melbourne a team that has won a total of 4 games in Victoria in their entire history, a dying club, both on field and off, and a st. kilda team that has been hanging around the bottom of the league for years.

With that said, 3-1 is better than 1-3, so we should still be grateful for the decent start we've made this season, especially considering we haven't had Ottens, Holland, Kellaway and Dragacevic, Richo and Chaffey (one game for the last two guys)..

GO TIGERS

I'm afraid we're going to lose this one, we always choke when we enter a game we're expected to win.. i'm getting nervous!

Top 4 is great......equal second on percentage has a nice ring to it too...
Go Tiges. :D

Looking forward another week and top spot is our's for the taken given that we win and all those around us fall ;)

Dare to Dream.....

Don't get too excited guys, a 3-1 record is the minimum that would be expected when you consider the opponents we've played

collingwood
western bulldogs
fremantle
st. kilda

cmon guys, it was a good game, fantastic to watch, but a top 4 spot after 4 rounds against questionable opposition is nothing to be proud of.

Lets get behind the boys and lets hope they continue they're good form against some better sides. In my eyes they certainly haven't prooved anything.

Can only beat the teams we've been scheduled to play, and with the exception of Collingwood, where we were beaten for match practice, we have done that

Agree we can't get ahead of ourselves but you can't do any more than beat your opponent on the day. Yes we have beaten the doggies, freo in melb and st kilda (who defeated Adelaide) but Collingwood have "only" beaten us (minus 6 players plus others underdone), Carlton and Geelong. All three sides finished outside the eight last year yet no one is saying the pies are not worthy to be in the top 4.

Anti don't forget we are still missing 5 of our top players.
Otto, Dutchy, Dunc, Dragga, Krak that I can think of. Blumfield is playing on no pre-season prep so should only improve.
I think we've done well with 1/4 of our team missing.

The Saints started favourites yesterday and we beat them convincingly.
A 50 point margin against the Dockers was massive considering the conditions.
I'd like to have a crack at the Pies again now the boys have a couple of runs under their belt.

They've done all I could ask so far.

Hopefully they can keep it up against the Hawks.

I am excited not only because we are winning, but that we are winning games in a manner that is sustainable. High quality possession games, various options up forward, really good delivery. If we were where we are now with Richo on 16 goals, I would just be waiting for form loss or injury to kill us off. Now we are a fundamantally different team. Mid field based, scoring on the run- beautiful stuff! Never been as happy with so many players. Tiv, Newman, Cogs, A-Rod (or whatever was decided) Houlihan (sh!t, did i say that) and fleming, all seem to be stepping up together. Go Tiges!

Great game yeasterday. The first quarter was terrific to watch and this was due to midfielders attacking hard into the forward 50. Tivendales goal (our first goal) was magnificent and this initiated the trend in the first quarter - players being prepared to run hard into attacking areas and leave their opponents behind, and providing support in forward thrusts.

If we continue this type of play I have no doubt that we are a serious finals chance.

However that last quarter was very worrying because we went back to our old habbits under pressure. We became very defensive, kicking long down the wings too often, no running support going forward, and too worried about our direct opponent.

I know the players were tired by then but so were the saints. If the saints had kicked more accurately then they could have won.

Hopefully frawely sits them down and disects the last quarter with them explaining to them what went wrong. Explaining to them that they should not go into their shells, don't try to shut up shop and keep attacking and playing exciting football.

Another thing Bowden's goal was probably the best goal i've seen.
