There's no doubt the topics discussed on this board are conducive to emotional debate and considering that's not everyone's cup of tea the threads are kept separate from the general discussion topics.

It seems lately that the discussions are bringing out the worst in people and have denigrated into insults, name calling, sniping and inappropriate abuse etc.

Although debate can get quite heated everyone needs to bear in mind that the site guidelines still apply here. The Mods would appreciate people respecting that and posting accordingly.

Future transgressions will lead to posts being deleted, suspension from posting and if things continue to get worse threads locked or deleted too.

Happy posting. :hearton

I hope the mods stick to what they say... ;)...and that the rules of the forum are aimed at ALL posters, not just a select few...

Peace out.

yes rosy it does get emotional ,however if we as humans cannot discuss/curse these issue's i feel that all is lost' the free world from here to england ,eons ago, americas independance and all modern worlds are based on FREE SPEECH regardless if im of the opinion that my fellow posters are wrong.and point it out it is still thier right to reply.i dont think that federation was founded on people agreeing on everything.like wise the decision of the states to go to war against england to ensure independance was not embraced by every american and they did have their voice.long string on a short bow i know rosy, but if we are to have an opinion and not act like robots we should be able voice it.and in saying that if you choose to post in these threads you should have a thick skin and stand by beliefs like most have shown.yes it gets emotional but that only goes to show that we are awake in this great land and we care regardless of our leanings :)

Yes that Disco chap is one of the worst. :hihi

I know (hope) this is a joke, but I'm subject to the same rules as everyone else. If you don't like something I say or think it's against site rules then report it.

Who to? You? Haaaargh, haaaargh, haaaargh!

rosy can kick my butt out of here as easily as she can kick anyone else's. :)

It was a joke.

Your avatar, however is a little disturbing. (another joke)

I have no complaints about anyone or what any have said on any of the threads.
(maybe I haven't been around long enough :hihi )

Anyways, shouldn't this be on the "feedback" thread....thats what I get told when I raise a question or topic of this nature. ???

Stoney I don't think anyone wants to restrict free speech as long as it's within the posting guidelines. Of course people have different opinions and the right to discuss them, and others have the right to reply, that's what a forum is all about. It's how they are discussed that's becoming a concern. It's a pretty poor discussion when name calling and personal insults are needed to get a point across.

As Disco said if you're not happy with something report the post to bring it to our attention. That can be done in two ways. The "Report to Moderator" function sends a message to all members of the ModSquad. The other option is to contact one of the Mods/Admins privately.

Best Board on PRE now. I hope the robust debates continue and I think more latitude should be given on these Boards than others as entry carries a warning and the debaters all have thick skins.

Thanks jb I just won a bet. You were odds on to show up on this thread. :hihi

Well I only post on this and the General Board these days (mainly) as they are the most interesting. The odds of me posting on this thread would have been London to a Brick on.

Says you with a pic of a naked chick and some robot. ;D

That is not "some chick" it is Katy Manning who played Jo Grant in Dr Who.

and that robot is a Dalek.

This is a photo of some historical importance with Katy being the only "companion" to do a nude shot with a Dalek. Kylie M copied the shot some years later but did it fully clothed.

:hihi

I reckon she was the cutest of Baker's companions, althought the hunter (Leela?) wasn't bad either!

hmmmm I think we are beginning to see the real Rosy now :)

Firstly she starts the "hey dudes, just chill a little" thread

Secondly, we find out the girl is a Dead-Head

Whats next, brownie recipies (with the magic ingredient of course!) and advice on how to play your Pink Floyd albums backwards to hear the words of God ;D
