With the soft cap affecting our ability to maintain a quality coaching group why not have one or two players in their twilight years become assistant coaches who are available to play if needed.

I know the soft is increasing next year but we could gain a big advantage by paying some of the coaching budget through our player payments.

P.S. they don't have to be Richmond players.

Clubs are getting around it. Goldsack is an assistant at Port but they put him on the playing list (not sure of the exact details).

yep, the poor man's Tom Lynch was the same at the Roos. maybe we could draft Clarko next year? or Leppa for key position depth.

Great call.

I think Tarrant has been good but next year when we drop off further I hope he doesn’t play most games but instead coaches
