Retire: Edwards Lambert
(Cotchin and Riewoldt to be decided pending how they finish season). Leaning to keeping. Can’t clean out all at once.

Delist: Aarts, RCD, Martyn, Parker & Nyoun

Look to trade (for good offer). Soldo Martin Castagna. I’d even take a good offer for Pickett

(Mansell/Stack hang on by thread)

I see the retirees as Edwards, lambert, Cotch , Jack and Martin.

I agree with those delistings except for Biggy who I think is coming along very nicely. I think Stack is just hanging on, maybe a trade back west would be good for him. I'd almost have Mansell in the delistings list..

Its6going to be a mind-boggling time at season's end. There's going to be a fair bit of activity in the list management department.
RFC needs to be really proactive in drafting and trading over the next two years if it wishes to return to the mountain top in short time.

I dont know if this is the correct thread.

Just a few quick points I have been wanting to make for about a month now are these - and I couldnt quite work out which thread. I'm not quite confident enough to start a thread!

1. Many posters talk about delisting this player or that player, etc. But you only get so many quality picks. We have 3 good picks but not 6 or 7 good picks - so its not like we can bring in a truck load of quality players. Unless we can get our hands on expensive free agents or have to offer heaps to get them to select us.

2. To offer heaps to players to select us seems out of our reach at the moment salary-cap wise.
I wonder how much trouble we really are in. I am starting to worry to be honest. Gee we have a lot of good players still unsigned.

Not like Blair to wait this long - my instinct tells me we are in trouble here. It could be b/c we are waiting on Cotch and JR to formally tell us this is their last year. It could be b/c we are waiting on the GOAT. But I reckon some clubs are into our players big time and I am getting worried re: Rioli and Baker in particular.

3. I have this feeling we will be unpleasantly surprised about some of our own players' movements at the end of this year - there are too many desperate clubs that need to do something (Essendon, West Coast, North, St Kilda, Adelaide), to appease their supporters.

Glad some on here are not in charge of list management.

The reality is, much of what we do will be determined by who retires (or is pushed into retirement) then, by those (if any) that want to be traded out or traded in. After this we could easily have 5 list spots to fill before we can look at who to delist.

Next you got to consider the draft. Is it a good year with lots of talent? No point drafting 5-7 kids if there is no depth. Not to mention the effect that could have on our list profile. Remember, we are looking at losing 1000+ games of experience. We bring in 5 kids this year on top of the 5 we brought in last year means a whole quarter of our list is under 21! That’s a recipe for disaster is more ways than one.

Of the current whipping boys in Aarts, Castagna, RCD, Martyn and Parker. Most of them are likely to still be on the list next year.

That’s just ridiculous comment, except for George who is contracted. You don’t just keep duds on a list for stability

I agree with most of this, except I’d take any offer for George just to get him off the list. I suspect we may have to let Dusty go for them paying his salary and a rubbish pick.

Retirement, Lambo,Edwards.
Delisted, Martyn, arts or Parker.
In, either Hopper,Taranto and if no ready made mid is attracted, then someone has to be fired from recruiting team,as it would be alarming if tigers don't attract one of them.
