What a tough choice,
Well we are up to Number 5 at www.rhettrospective.com

no offence, but you're not a true richmond supporter if you don't know what number royce hart wore

What about the other luminaries to have worn #5

Emmett Dunne, John Annear, Peter Wilson, Wayne Peters, and others too numerous to mention.

I really liked Peter Wilson.Good to see he's got a gig in Perth as a commentator.I reckon we could do with a guy like him right now.

I heard Bill Morris was a really good player.A Brownlow backs that up I suppose.

Hmmm, Peter Wilson. Must of had the biggest chin ever in the AFL. ::)

I have to disagree with that comment Ian4.

Everything is relative. My nephew is a richmond supporter, age 7, at this stage in his supporting career he would have no idea who Royce Hart was let alone what number he wore. But ask him about Mark Coughlan or Matty Richardson and he is an ace.

It amazes me the knowledge that a lot of PRE posters have about the club on this site. I am not one for facts and figures, and certainly cannot remember who were no 6 in the Richmond Team in 1985. (but I bet someone here does know ;D)

I just don't think you can doubt someone's commitment to supporting the club because they don't know someone's jumper number.

Most of those #5 were well before my time so I dont really know who was better.

Big Emmett was an honest player that if I remember correctly played in a pocket down back with Micky Malthouse. He always contested well but god he made me nervous when he was kicking the ball out of the backline. I used to have an unkind nickname for him back then but time healed my wounds because eventually he was part of '80 GF win.

David Palm would have worn 6 in 1985.
It then passed to Chris Naish, then to Mark Chaffey.
I'm sure Rhett will address this in coming weeks when we assess the RFC No 6's.

Since Bruce Lennon wasn't nominated I will have to choose Bill Morris- purely on record as I didn't see either play live.

Did Rex Hunt everr wear the No 5 Jersey?
Out of the three, I would place my vote on Crowe.

Did the Strutter (Peter Wilson) wear number 5? I must say I don't remember that but can't really remember what number he did wear either. No. 9 rings a bell but I think that was at the Eagles.

Anyway, back to number 5. Wasn't that the superstar Wayne Hernaman's number

I think Gareth Andrews might have worn 5 as well.

Wayne Hernaman! I haven't heard that name since....

I might be off the mark here but did Craig Smith ever have the Number 5 on his back?...i remember the 31 i think but the 5 also rings a bell too
