Rodan, what more can you say.

One week he is a fast moving bush rat, raunning in amongst the tall timber. Next a fresh water rat exceling in the soggy swamp like conditions.

It has been a long time since I seriously felt excitement when one of our players even goes near a ball on the ground. That large loud cry of Rodan, that echoed the MCG is the stuff that memories are made of. A new generation of Tiger supporter canactually thrill at the sight of Richmond player performing something amazing like Maurice Rioli did when I first started going to matches.

Not even the antics of Wilson ( Good one Bowden) could destroy my enjoyment of the Mighty Rodant being tackled, loosing the bal, getting up , tackling, taking the ball back and continuing on his original course.

Well done Rodan

p.s Wilson is the nic name I have given Bowden, although this week he definatly performed myuch better Clanger level dropped.

How lucky were we that other clubs overlooked all of Rodo's positives and judged him on his lack of height instead.
A great pick up who would have gone miles earlier if he was a few cm's taller.
I reckon the guy has leadership written all over him.
He is inspirational, he is nice to everyone, he is super determined and confident.
The most inspirational player we've had for yonks, and one I'm confident of leading the Tiges to success in the future.
Onya Dave.

A wise man told me last year to have some money on Rodan for the brownlow from 2004 onwards.... he seems to think that because Rodan has won best in comp in every comp he has played in it's only matter of time before he gets the big one....
I think I'll take that advice next year and onwards ;D

He's fast becoming my new favorite player. Rodan has turned the corner the last 2 games and is well on the way to a great career as a Tiger.

This is when the blow torch is going to be turned up on David. Opposition teams have seen his performance in the past 2 weeks and seen how he has been instrumental to our wins. They are undoubtedly going to put the pressure on him now and have him manned up tighter. It will be interesting how he goes with a tag. If he can show that he can beat a tag he will go a long way in being a great player.

The one thing I am looking forward to is one of those taggers attempting to stop the Mighty Mouse.

Most of the taggers tend to be a bit taller and not quiet in and under players. More suited to tagging the likes of Buckley and Hird. Hopefully this will make it that little bit harder to tag David out the game. This is what used to happen with Freezer when he played. His size and game style is not suited to being tagged. They can try but effectivaly they take a player away from game play by trying.

Funny, the player who could have possibly tagged Rodant retired last year. Libba

Rodans development as a genuine midfielder has created a situation where opposition teams will have a tough time in stopping our midfield. Do they tag rodan, or coughlan, or johnson, or campbell. This will only assist the likes of bowden and tivendale in that they will rarely be subject to tight tags now. If blumfield can get back to top form, fleming continues to impress, and newman be slowly introduced into the midfield then all of a sudden we might have a great midfield.

To put this into perspective from last year, our midfield now potentially comprises of 6 new players. Johnson, Blumfield and Fleming are new recruits, whereas Coughlan, Rodan, and Newman have cemented their position in the side from being played off the bench for most of last year.

Time to go on with it now - no excuses.

It looks alot better then Campbell, Knights, Sziller, King, Rogers and Kellaway.

Youth and enthusiasm, just what the Doctor ordered.

It's good to see people acknowledging that our team is improving anyway. ;D
To me our list looks better than 2001. Now for everyone to play to their full capabilities and have some luck on the injury front and we should have a good crack at finals footy this year.
Go Tiges!
