IMO it is the 1%ers as they are known. Eg Shepherding (we'd have to be the worst in the comp??), cutting off leads (gaspar et. al. wouldn't look nearly as bad if we got in the way of the leading fwds, like we did when he was an All Aust'n), putting pressure on midfielders as they are kicking to the opposition fwds rather than giving a token chase (at least Rodan, Hartigan and Tommy R give that a go), running in numbers (like the Swans do) and keeping the ball locked in our fwd line.
The lack of this kinda stuff is a sign of a 'team' who is playing for self rather than team. that's why some of the so called 'duds' would do very well at other clubs that are unselfish and play for each other, it makes EVERYBODY look good. IMO our playing list would double in quality if they all took this stuff on board (although granted the skills still leave a lot to be desired, but you dont have to be skilled to do the above).

We need more Flemings.

won't leave anything in the tank..
don't mind getting dirty...
knock down opponents...

I believe that if this guy fixes the way he drops the ball onto the boot...

He and Coughlan with Johnson, Brown and Krak'r ....wow :)

if we had more flemings then guaranteed wooden spoon and priority picks.

Agree with TF, if we had more Flemings then we would have more players 'willing to put their bodies on the line (ie. sheppards, tackles, HARD-ball gets, etc)'.

Granted he has some difficulty with disposing of the ball with any efficiency but at least he 'gets down and dirty'.

A few other players could take a 'leaf out of his book' and be 'harder at the ball and opposition players'.

If only the 'brains-trust' could recruit someone that is both 'hard at it' and has 'good disposal' (ie. Riccuito at Adelaide).

You can't teach it to any player or any person... they can find it within and use it but it can't be taught.

It is better to get tough guys and to teach them skills rather than get skilled players and teach them toughness.

Tim Fleming has heart, courage and gives his all every time he takes the field, you cant coach that, he has just got it when so many around him dont. What you can coach is a players skill level, this is just repitition. Thats all Fleming needs work, work and more work on his skill level and he could be a great player for the Tigers. He has a great role model on that now at Punt Rd in Nathan Brown.

His other weakness is some of his decision making, especially some of the free kicks he gives away. This comes from the enthusiasm and energy he exudes which sometimes boils over, but that will improve with more experience.

I seriously dont understand those that criticise this kid.
