Continuing on from the opinions of supporters feeling that the AFL have a love child in St Kilda, i find it very strange that Lenny Hayes was not charged for kneeing Brennan on the quarter time siren last nite. When comparing the incident to Staffords 3 week suspension, it is clearly obvious that greater contact was made by Hayes (2 knees dug into the small of the back) than the slight brush in the side by Stafford. Just because Stafford has a history of being "clumsy" should not condemn him to being guilty. And the fact that Blake broke 2 vertebrae should not have any bearing on the outcome either ( i found it hard to believe considering saints players were spineless and gutless a couple of years ago).
Hayes's overagression must be punished.
So where is the consistancy in reporting/tribunal cases?? There is none...and dont be surprised if Hayes gets off his striking charge as well.

Good point I saw that on the replay and thought exactly the same thing.

Hope someone questions Geish about it and see what he has to say.

the little prick should get 3 weeks for the elbow anyway

i wouldnt worry about that..2 weeks minimum

I saw the same thing and as Staff got 3 Hayes should get 3 for the knees.

Hayes will get 2 for the elbow and should be cited and receive at least 2 for the knees, it was careless and reckless just like staffords.

My reaction as soon as I saw the incident was, "he better go for that, same thing as what Staff was crucified for, but actually worse as he's gone in with both knees".

If this issue is overlooked, the tiges should be contacting Geischen for a please explain the difference!

Didn't see the incident. Was Brennan injured? If not. Haynes wont be suspended. The AFL have this unwritten rule that if a play doesn't get in an accident then he wont be suspended, bu tif the player is hurt... :'(
