Are Sipthorp, McGrath and Moore playing with Coburg this weekend? We know Dragga is.

Anybody going? I reckon it's a bit of a rip-off having to pay $10 for a praccy match, when the Wizzer game was about $5 with the voucher. I wonder if this is a dontation to the Carlton Poor Box. ;D

I reckon the club will be taking this game seriously, so hopefully it will be a good one. It's not as important as a h&a game for sure, but there's a lot of pride at stake, and a lot of supporter faith to win back.
Hope Brittain's inside knowledge comes in handy and we make a start on revenging that embarrassing loss to them last year.
Go Tiges!

speaking of Richmond and Carlton.just after 3 am I was having a look at what was on fox footy and classic quarters was just starting.anyway the game was Carlton v Richmond ( the last quarter) round 22 1997. so I thought I my as well watch it.what a game and an even better win  :) .would have to be one of my all time fav Richmond games.must find the tape of the full game sometime and watch it.

so I really hope we win on Saturday - Go Tigers Eat E'm Alive  ;D

yes I'm going :) though I do agree it's a rip of.ha,the money must be going to Carlton as practice matchers are normally free aren't they?

Ha I was thinking that too Rosy. I'm not going to spend 10 bucks on a practice match. I'll stay home and read about it the next day.

or you could go see Coburg and than the Coburg reserves for free at Whitten Oval.just a suggestion ;)

Hmm I thought this game was free for members. The AFL said the Wizz Fizzer cup matches weren't going to free this year but all Wizz Fizzer "regional challenge" (read practice games) matches would be free to club members. I will investigate and advise

And yes I am going - looking forward to seeing how Blumfield goes
;)

Richmond V Carlton

The Richmond line-up will be significantly strengthened for this Saturday's practice match against arch rival Carlton at Optus Oval.

The Tigers, soundly beaten by Melbourne in their knockout Wizard Cup encounter and then by Fremantle in a trial game at Geraldton last Saturday, will regain the services of several key players who have been sidelined with injuries during the pre-season.

"We'll probably have only a handful of players missing -- everyone else will be pretty much available," said Richmond's Football Manager Greg Hutchison.

"Of course, it depends on how we go at training tomorrow (Friday), but I think we'll field a pretty strong team on Saturday."

Richmond had about a dozen players unavailable due to injury for last weekend's practice match against the Dockers. The previous week, in the Wizard Cup clash with Melbourne, the Tigers were missing players of the calibre of captain Wayne Campbell (groin), Justin Blumfield (groin), Ray Hall (quad), Ty Zantuck (cheekbone), Tim Fleming (wrist), Duncan Kellaway (hamstring) and Ben Holland (knee).

Former Essendon premiership hero Blumfield is set to make his debut in Tiger colors against Carlton, while skipper Campbell will play his first game for the year.

Although the Tigers aren't unduly concerned with the two pre-season defeats to date, they are keen to return to the winning list.

"Albeit they're only practice matches, you'd still like to have some winning form going into the season," Hutchison said.

"We just need to get our best players out there and concentrate on our style of play and, hopefully, things will go alright for us."

Hutchison believes Saturday's game also provides Tiger supporters with plenty of opportunity.

"We were over in WA last week, so we weren't able to play in front of our fans, but this is a really good opportunity for all the Richmond people to get along and have a look at us, get excited, make some noise and, if they haven't already, support the Club by buying a membership ticket," Hutchison said.

Please note that 2003 RFC memberships will be on sale at Optus Oval this Saturday (Social Club entrance). Supporters will be admitted free on presentation of their 2003 membership ticket.

How are these blokes not playing ahead of Millstone, Clanger King, Hacker Hyde, Royce Hardly etc. ?? !!!

This is exactly what is wrong with RFC. Unlike Sheedy/Essendon who are throwing young guys right into it at this time of the year to find out what they've got, or to accelerate their development, RFC trots out the usual crap.

So they may have played in Geraldton. Big deal !

"Give them a bloody run at it Frawley you dud !"

I have a feeling we won't see much of Andrew Mills this year so who cares....

But there has always been this trend with Danny to wrap some guys in cotton wool for so long that they are bypassed and delisted while hacks like Mills get heaps of opportunities while clearly never being deserving of them.

Sippa will get his chance so I will be patient. But Frawley has always had the tendancy to play hackers over and over ie Mills and give the kids with ability no opps at all.

Young Marty may be the small forward we are screaming for, so while we have the chance to give the kid a run in a meaningless match, with Richo Otto and Staff, why not take it.

Come on Danny, show us something please.....

ok cool but would I need a 2003 Membership to get in for free? or would a 2002 get me in for free?

I sent away for my Membership for this year late last year and it still has arrived  :'( .at least I have my Coburg membership ticket.
