That is all I want to hear from now on.

We have so many promising players, like White, Nahas,Edwards,Jackson just to name a few and they can't kick !!! THIS IS A CRIME IN FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who ever the new coach is, ensure that we recruit based on skills first and ability to execute under pressure the exact skill.

We only lose games because the skill is not there, last night was a prime showcase of this.

Secondly, I want a better standard of physical conditioning, we are the worst in the comp at this.

Come on Richmond, wake up to this for once!

i reckon edwards kicking has been ok since he came back in midyear.

also nahas, vfl watchers raved bout his kicking. his field kicking seems good he just misses too many goals.

my knock on Nahas is he has zero ability with his left foot

Yup, Edwards problem has been controlling his longer kicks but his time in the reserves enabled him to develop that.

Agree Edwards has been pretty good recently

Last night Rance's kicking impressed me, when he isn't running at full tilt he does have good disposal
If he can learn to steady before he kicks then he will become a very damaging player

Totally agree that skills need to be worked on, but coupled with that would be strength and fitness
Too many times we cough up the ball while handballing as we cannot stand up in tackles, we need bigger bodies
Also it seems that our fitness is not up to standard and again as a consequence our skill suffer

SKILLS, STRENGTH, FITNESS and more SKILLS

Yeah well as I've been harping on about if they stop trying to make him a running player he might develop that better.

Everything about the Tigers looks poor now as all confidence is gone.

But they need to work on 2 things - skills as mentioned and strength.

These boys have to hit the gym 2 weeks after the season is done and start getting some serious size on.

Nahas's field kicking has been very good this season I thought. His kicking for goal though is pathetic.

Agree with your premise but not your examples. Edwards lacked strength to break clear and balance before kicking at AFL level, but he has worked on this beautifully second half of the year. Is a lovely kick at lower levels. Next year should see him progress further. My daughter was watching Nahas yesterday and said the good thing about him is that he punishes sides when he gets the opportunity which is true. I mentioned that at most sides it is expected that your mids/runners can hurt you when they have clear possession. Its just that we're used to Tuck and Johnson and jackson as our key mids that the whole concept of making opposition turnovers pay seemed exotic to my 19 year old.

Here is a very disturbing statistic: Late into the second quarter 5 of Hawthorn's 6 goals, were DIRECTLY a result of Richmond turnovers!!! We are our own worst enemy and always make crap opposition look good!
The next coach needs to teach these guys how to kick a football, which really makes me wonder what the hell was wallarse actually doing with this team for 5 years ???

Just knew all the Wallace followers would be barking to follow the expert media comments.

Wallace was inconsistent in almost everything he said about our game plan. His single most common excuse was to lament poor skills as this was the classic get out of making it someone elses fault. As just one example he wanted fast ball movement but criticised players for overdoing handball.

IMO we will improve once the players have confidence in themselves and each other and know a consistant structure and system. But I guess that wont stop the experts here and in the media from making Wallace's excuses again and again. "We lose games because of poor skills, it can't be changed so we must have recruited them as the worst kicks in the competition. Therefore it's not the coach's fault".

not as accurate kick for goal as Id like, god knows how many chances he's floundered and yes, zero left foot prob why he was ignored as an U18

Is what sorts the top teams out from the mediocre and bottom sides. Thus where we are now. Recruitment department....
