I have quite a few DVDs (all copies) of Richmond games going back quite a while.

I want to save them onto my laptop, edit them and then have the edited "highlights" able to be played on the laptop and also on my ipod.

Anyone know of some good FREE programs that would allow me to do this?

(Note I am not very tech savvy).

cheers

I've done this with Pinnacle but it's not free, and not very usable unless backed up by oodles of memory.
But if you can get by those issues it's pretty good. You can "import" a DVD into the program and then create video files from that.

Take a look at this page PP http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html I haven't used it myself but have used some of their other products, anyway it's free so possibly worth a shot. Usually you can find 'how to' type hints on youtube or similar.
