Did anyone not think the mother did it when the story broke ? Poor kid.

The cops making a point of her returning the pram was a pretty good clue as to what they made of it.

It was the first thought that came to my head. How very, very sad all around. Sweet dreams little angel.

Sadly, too often a family member is involved. It was suss, but I've learnt to wait until a few facts come out before being too judgemental. I thought at the time Lindy Chamberlain was guilty.
The poor innocent child, another victim.

The poor mother must be in a very ordinary mental state to do this. Sad the system couldn't save this precious little girl. Ambos called the week before suspected suffocation was involved. Had already been in the hands of protective services. Just heartbreaking.

Was this just a Muslim thing?

Herald Sun made sure we knew she held her Koran tight during her hearing last night.

How do you mean just a Muslim thing Western? It was clear in the photos that she had the Koran. That doesn't mean the book wouldn't have been mentioned had it been a Bible or some other book.

It was that obvious. She showed no emotion but the real give away was her story that the child was taken by a homeless person.

Really? I hadn't heard this.

How on earth was the main their allowed to keep her after the first incident. It's mind boggling.

They may have used different photos though Rosy. I haven't seen the photos, but it sounds like a very HS thing to do.

It was referenced in The Age too marty. They may well have ignored it but it is what it is. I see no suggestion the murder was a "just a Muslim thing".

Thought she might've been covering for another family member.

Happened walking distance from my house. Another infamous (officially unsolved) child murder took place less than 1km away in the 80's. And every morning I drive past a street where one of Peter Dupas's victims was murdered. Melbourne's violent north...
