Given that our list is so young, we must be paying our better credentialled players eg Deledio, Cotchin, Newman etc an absolute fortune in order to get up to the 92.5% of the salary cap that we are required to pay under the AFL rules.
We must therefore have some of the most overpaid players in the AFL.
Logically given the inexperience of our list and the range of underperformers that we have, we should probably only be paying 70% to 80% of the Salary Cap. However we must pay 92.5%.
Not quite sure that the 92.5% in our situation is all that good for us. I suppose one good thing is that it should leave us with plenty of space in our cap to keep the GC and GWS away from our marquee players.
