It hurts me to say, but I'd like to see Snort Powder defeat the Scats tonight. Diverfield missing an easy set shot after the siren to win the game would be a great start to the round.

Was thinking about this earlier in the week, but when was the last time the 2 grand finalists from the previous year both missed finals?

Sydney are basically already done, and the pussies are dangling by a thread, whilst they have a lot of games still at Krapdinia, a fair few are against decent teams.

I like Port but with the current top 8 to 10 teams as they stand, they are the one team I wouldn‘t begrudge winning the flag tbh.

Reckon the power by a comfortable 6 goals tonight.

I’m not buying the two boys at BrisVegas “self dropping themselves “.

First time I’ve heard this!

Just say they are managed.

Dropped themselves because their form doesn’t warrant selection but not playing in their reserves to find form, but doing a ‘training block”.

Ha ???

I think it does Art.

Who can ever forgot Fagan trying to justify why he side should have beaten Richmond, as his “stats” told him so.

It was funny at the time and still is.

It took clubs 4 years and the AFL 5 to realise how bloody good we were and implement “rules” to stop our juggernaut style that was “caos football” which other sides have copied.

I think he has finally figured out this year players sacrificing their own game helps winning them. His usual ball winning magnets aren't pumping out the same kind of numbers they have in the past.

Port are in really good form, strong in the centre which will counter one of Geelong's strengths. One key to beating Geelong is to make sure they can't get quality delivery to their forwards, which I reckon Port can prevent.

I reckon Port will win tonight, their home ground advantage will also play a part.

Have Port managed to add the couple of extra pieces they needed to win a flag? Won't know until September but they look to have improved just enough to be a good chance.

We will find out tonight if they are Premiership contenders or there is still life in the old’ Cats.

One of my all time favourite memories is the 2020 Prelim final when we broke Snort Powder's hearts. They only lost 4 games for the season, 3 in the home and away and the Prelim final. Nank was awesome in the last quarter to get us over the line.

Nank was deserving of a statue after that performance, as good as anything Mark Lee produced, Benny Gale would have been reminiscing about 1995 after witnessing Nank repel attack after attack. Thanks also to Duursma, he dropped the cup Hershelle Gibbs style.
