Good old Ross the Boss has been given the heave ho from Freo.

Half of the Salty Scott's potentially a candidate in line for the role (fantastic, we wouldn't see him every week!).

I'm not a huge fan of Ross Lyon, but they improved a lot this year and have a huge injury list at the moment to key personnel.
I'm a bit surprised they didn't give him next year to see out his contract, unless there was a player exodus on the cards.....

Brad Scott the favourite?
 
Hard to say. There's rumour that Worsfold could return if Essendon go out in the first final (his family is now in WA).
Of the coaches who got sacked, only Scott has a positive reputation.

Freo haven't missed the boat if they want experience as it's the first timers at North and Carlton. Maybe they can chase Hinkley after round 23 or Scott.
Alternatively, they want a person new to coaching....not sure who they'd go for.
 
Poor Rossy. I bet Ratts hopes st Kilda hurry up and appoint him (Ratts).
 
GWS should have already made the call, bought him a ticket, and have a limo waiting at Sydney airport.

I disagree. he was half daring Freo to sack him by some of his media comments in recent weeks. But he wasn't gonna leave without getting his 2020 salary.

The South Fremantle mafia have been gunning for Lyon for a couple of years now. Brad Hardie can't open his mouth without sh!t canning Lyon.

Put your house on South Fremantle favourite sun Peter Sumich to get the gig.

You're on to it, Taz. Yes, Longmuir might be who they have in mind:
- long apprenticeship like Teague
- ex-Freo, team-mate of Bell
- at WCE recently
- many say the footy brains behind Pies resurrection (not Bucks!)
 
Ross the Boss will step in to take over Mark Harvey's assistant role at Essendon.:p
 
True Harry but Ross would have a plan in place for a job.
Imagine if he ends up at the Saints. That would be a laugh.
 
There was also all that sexual harrassment inuendo earlier in the year too.

But I think Ross' dour brand of football has had its day.
