Very saddened by the passing of Robert G Barrett last week. Was a unique character and one of my favourite authors. Thoroughly enjoyed his non PC way of telling a story. I'll miss the adventures of the big red-headed bouncer from Queensland.

Rip Robert and RIP Les Norton.

I hadn't heard of him but will make sure to get a couple of his books from the library. His "About Bob" page makes interesting reading. Sounds like he had a very colourful life. R.I.P.

RIP Bob and Les, great stories about the big red head from Dirranbandi. You Wouldn't be Dead for Quids.

Agree to the sentiments. A great author and bloody good reads, haven't missed any of his releases that I know of.

Hadn't heard about this, thanks for posting Rob. Was a great author and from what you hear a very interesting bloke. My first Barrett book was actually Davo's little something. Very dark and serious and unlike the Norton books. But it's Les Norton that Robert will be remembered for. Time to pick up a Team Norton tshirt. I always thought about it, but never got around to it. I will now.
