Did anyone else watch this on the winners with flares on fox the other day (shudders) we lost by over 100 points, dark days they were.

I am glad I missed it, the game in 87 at Waverley was the worst when we lead by 10 goals late in the 3rd then BT started a brawl and we lost by 10pts :-[

I wish we could re-capture 2002 R1 form - I can't believe where we are now compared to the Pies since that night....

bad game all round!
seeing cloke and taylor in those colors .
our future capt wearing no48
the great jimmy jess was still terrorising the opposition lol.
richmond greats like mark eustice, steven james, tim notting, des ryan

those were the dark days

Iwas at that game in 87 at VFL Park against collingwood.10 goals up and still lost.Even when collingwood hit the front I did not think it was possible to lose.At 3 quarter time my mates and I were jokeing how we could not lose from here.We left 30 minutes later in tears.I still tremble when i think of that day. :'(

if my memory served my right, the following week we were also up by around 40 points against Sydney and ended up losing also.

Yes, I did see Winners with Flares. Richmond were really bad and to make it worst, I remember being at the game also.

That would've been late in 1986 when Collingwood beat Richmond at Vic Park by over a hundred points. The Tigers completely fell away in the last third of the season after recording some excellent wins in the first half and being within striking distance of the Five.

As bad as this result was, the worst would've been losing to the Saints (who won 2 games for the year) by 75 points!

Yes, you're right, Wagstaff, Aug 23/1986, Round 21, Vic Park:
C'Wood 23.18 (156) v. Richmond 8.7 (55)

Truly a horror year in a stretch of horror years.

No true Tiger fan will like to see this but I will show it anyway, the results of the last 7 games of 1986:

Footscray 122 Rich 95
St Kilda 129 Rich 54
Rich 85 Fitzroy 94
Essendon 154 Rich 75
Rich 96 Sydney 144
Collwood 156 Rich 55
Rich 104 Geelong 136
