Gotta win the close ones and have your best players on the park when it counts to win the big one. This ain’t the tigers in 2022 unfortunately.

Hmmm….2017 lost our only 4 games decided by 10 points or less. But we won the big one.

2018-19-20 we were 8-1 in games decided by 10 points or less. So since 2017 we are 9-1-8 in matches decided by 10 points or less. Some of it is to do with how good you are, and some of it just comes down to whether you get the luck or not late in the tight ones. But I do think it mainly gets pretty random the outcome of games decided by a goal or less.

Ha, well I guess it’s even more important to win a heap of games so the few close losses don’t count as much.

But you’re probably right, close margin or large win, they're all just win/losses at the end of the day.

The close losses just hurt like hell and create a more robust discussion.

Can we get a total of win/losses of games decided by 6 points or less under the whole Dimma era? At a guess i would estimate our winning percentage would be under 20%. We can’t just put it down to panic and playing dumb footy every single time. This is a systematic issue that has been going on for 10+ years.

Is Emma Murray still involved with the club?

The players seem to have lost confidence in themselves and each other. Our "belief" seems to have vanished very quickly.

I am sure it is partly cattle, but it is a shock to see the same players from our "invincible" period now panicking and making simple mistakes. Grimes dropped chest mark in the last 40 seconds comes to mind.

Well that sucks. Been saying it for a while now.

Lost two un-losable games in a row, on top of all the other horrible performances this year. So much for becoming a sustainably successful club, we are rapidly slipping backward towards our typical mediocrity. The club needs a major shake up. Starts with the coaching staff.

The AFL must be loving us right now from a box office perspective.
Great comebacks, close exciting finishes, cr@ppy teams getting the odd win. Problem is we flippin' lose them all!

been watching Tiges since the 1980s, you win some / lose some in the close games. 50/50
but this 2022 side we have too many players up forward who try their backsides off BUT are very poor kicks for goal, and particularly lack poise on set shots. Our misses at goal compound and give other sides a genuine sniff to the final siren.
IMHO if Castagna kicks that easiest of sealers v GC = we then beat North & Freo. The GC shock loss has rattled coaches, players and supporters - we need a solid win v Lions to throw the gorilla off our back (understatement)
