Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
This could get big.

Collingwood d Essendon
(Coll trying to make top4)
————————————————
Geelong b Carlton
(Geelong could slip to 4th if they lose)

Giants defeat suns
(They just will)

WCE to beat hawks
(WCE hoping for home QF).
——————————————————
Richmond beat Brisbane
(Because we don’t want to miss top 4).

I’m seeing bulldogs beating Adelaide
(They just will)

Port d Freo
(Port hoping to make finals)
Maybe a dead rubber.

QF Geel v rich
QF BRIS v WCE
EF. Coll V Ess
EF. GWS v Dogs

Which could give us two PFs just like this weekend

Rich v WCE
Bris v Geel

Don’t tip the interstate traveller.

What's the rule again? If we meet WC or Bris in the PF, we play away at their ground even if either lost a 1st final?

I hope your right but can’t help but think there is one more twist to go.

I didn’t expect both Adelaide teams to lose this weekend but they did.

Could the blues topple the cats .....

I just want to get over Brisvegas.

Today was tough on the voice, the heart and on the family.

Then lets look at who we play.

Im with year. More twists to come. Just dont want the Tigers part of any twists.

I really want to see a Collingwood v western bulldogs elimination final.

That would only happen if Essendon win, Hawthorn lose, Footscray lose to Adelaide by a small margin (approx by under 20 points) and Port lose (or don't win by more than about 20 points). Very low probability.

interesting sidenote to potential week 1 finals matchups... would Geelong prefer to play Brisbane in Brisbane or us at the MCG? Because if they lost to Carlton, and we beat Brisbane, they would end up playing the lions and we will almost certainly be playing the Eagles in Perth

interestingly the mathematical models (see Squiggle) are suggesting Essendon and Hawthorn both have a 32% chance of winning this week. The punters are not giving Hawthorn much chance though.

Bulldogs will beat the snot out of the Crows in Ballarat, foreign ground shitty conditions and the Crows are done.

The Doggies will put them to the sword and probably cause a massive clean out to be instigated at West Lakes

We are actually in a pretty good spot.

If as expected:
Collingwood beat the Bombers
West Coast beat Hawthorn
Dogs beat Adelaide
Geelong beat Carlton

Then we either finish 4th or 5th. If we win, we finish 4th and head to the G to play Geelong in a QF. If we lose, we head to the G to play the Bombers.

QF Brisbane vs Collingwood (H win)
QF Geelong vs West Coast (H win) - This is the risky game in this scenario
EF Richmond vs Essendon (H win)
EF GWS vs Bulldogs (A win)

That would give semi finals of
SF1 Collingwood vs Richmond (A win hopefully)
SF2 West Coast vs Bulldogs (H win)

Meaning prelims are
PF Brisbane vs West Coast
PF Geelong vs Richmond

Now if West Coast were to beat Geelong in the QF then this messes it all up and we'd have a prelim in Perth - yuck, so obviously would much prefer we finish 4th, but we could potentially be on the "right side of the draw" if we finish 4th and Geelong win the QF.

Obviously if we win on Sunday its probably better as we'd get a QF at the G vs Geelong which I'd much prefer.

We haven’t kicked under 15 goals against these fraudsters in our last 4 games.
Get ready for a Geelong match up first week of the finals.
