Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Prime Advice, who were announced as a sponsor to the bulldogs for three years tonight on the footy show, sponsor Richmond last year.

More wizardry from Campbell, CC and the board???

I think you're right JB. I suppose being a financial advice and investment company they no longer wanted to be associated with a club that's haemorraghing financially :p

Although the Bulldogs are probably not the great candidates either ???

At least the bulldogs have an excuse for being broke they dont have the supporter base we got

We have no excuse for being broke

Yes good point.

BTW, I can't add a smiley to my posts. Any tips? :-[

Richmond should look at getting sponsorship from Cash Converters. Any players that aren’t up to scratch bring ‘em to the Richmond FC, the home of second hand players.

I think you'll find they were actually a sponsor of Danny Frawley's! The way he was travelling, he would have needed all the financial advice he could get. He must know the writing is on the wall because he is now sponsored by a golf course resort - I guess he'll have plenty of spare time come September!

The irony was that Prime Advice was a direct competitor to Clinton Casey's own company Retirement Services Australia in the Retirement Home industry.

That sponsorship was always a short term thing. Why do you think that Clinton replaced that one with one a company that he has an interest in Luguna Whitsunday.

The RFC sponsorships at the top end are in great shape with Motorola, TAC, Laguna, Connex, Coke, Ikea.

It is the lower level corporate sponsorships and corporate entertainment packages where we are struggling. When we struggle, these type of sponsorships will always struggle to sell.

I don't know about Prime Advice but Richmond have picked up some great sponsors.

They not only contribute to the club but they also give to the supporters.

Dirty Dogs have been very generous.

So have Motorola, even giving us team updates by SMS each week.

I think the TAC contract might run out this year..not sure.

Richmond is a success story waiting to happen if we make a few correct decisions. It won't be long till sponsors are clambering to get on board to be part of what will hopefully be exciting times ahead.

Go Tiges.

Spot on Rosy, and I reckon that this is a major reason why Danny has to go, in that he doesn't generate much confidence in the supporters or members.

A coach like Sheedy and to a lesser extent Wallace would generate this excitement and in turn help generate the additional revenue from extra members and sponsors.
