Given this is Sunday evening and not much else on I thought I would throw it out there.Who has been our top whipping boy over the years, and why?And if traded did we end up with egg on our faces? Also of course, who are the likely candidates, and why, for next year's grilling on PRE?

Mitch Farmer has probably been my biggest whipping boy as he was so slow and we traded Port for him.

Shane Edwards and Alex Rance were whipping boys (not by me). I always stuck up for Edwards. They have made a lot of posters look very stupid.

Dow is my number 1 whipping boy as he can’t kick to AFL standards. And we have just given him another year.

Whipping boys cannot be complete hacks likr Farmer? I doubt any PRE posters saw him as AFL quality?

Whipping boys should divide opinion like Dan Jackson and Short. Or Luke McGuane. Although only idiots thought the flying pencil was any good.

Castagna was unfairly the whipping boy for a while. Man I'd love castagna in our side still...!

Nathan Gordon, omg....the thought of him fumbling on the ground for a possession, as defenders close in...

Castagna, can't kick, can't handball, lucky he can run and pressure like a loony...

Tivva....the prototypical whipping boy...

George, FAarts were classic whipping boys
In 2025 its upto Dow to keep the whipping boy tradition going

McKintosh was/is always only one bad game away from being a whipping boy for the pundits who had no idea about the role he played.
Brandon Ellis copped plenty too.
Both sensational blokes off the field as well

Agree that Shedda in particular made many on here look like fools. He ended up whipping them all.
Bowdo yes was a whipping boy too. I was never sure why.

I was pretty hard on George early doors until I realised the value in his chaos. Got that one wrong.
Going back a bit but I used to absolutely hate watching Tim Fleming play. That was peak dark days Richmond for me.

we had the trio of Whipping boys for a good while in Dan Jackson , Luke McGuane and Andrew Moore
credit to the Club and them , they all made it through tough times

I remember watching Alex Rance while still copping it from Tigers supporters at the Gabba vs Jonathon Brown,
Brown tried to out wrestle him that night , Rancey destoryed him too fit too strong and managed to run off him and contribute
was sitting on the fence in a pocket and could see how gutted Brown was and the thought was surely Rance will make it and oh boy did he

Liam Baker copped it for awhile as well , too short , too slow

we do get it right some times but boy we have some spectacular misses when identifying duds :ROFLMAO:

I never understood why Bowdo, either.
Fleming was a suburban footballer who somehow got to play in the AFL. He was classic Frawley, very little skill, but a ton of heart.

Kayne Pettifer was a perennial WB

For those tiger supporters who sit in the AFL reserve there was a lady who used to single him out week after week ..." Get a hard ball Pettifer" :ROFLMAO: . Blonde spikey hair (the supporter not Petts) . She probably posts on here !!!
