To be continued...I can't open the rest of the pics for some reason.

I can't see these pics any more but hopefully everyone else can.

Whats the difference between taking photos at the game and posting them online and posting a link to a youtube video of a highlight from the game.

Surely 'recording devices' ie cameras' are not actually allowed inside afl venues. Also what rights to the players have over the distribution of there image?

Not being a tool, just interested to know considering the heat applied regards posting youtube links etc.

I'll quote than and respond on the appropriate thread rather than take this one off-track.

Interesting you brought this up.

The ground security are now checking the camera lens when entering the grounds. You are allowed the use of camera's in the grounds but apparently the AFL has a rule the camera lens can't exceed 200mm otherwise AFL approval is required. What a crock of crap.

I don't make any money from the photo's and only take them for personal and to share here on PRE.

I am happy to share any of my photo's with anyone, please msg me if you want any of them emailed to you to use for your personal use.

That's funny because i do all my main photography with a Canon 400D which i have a range of lenses for - some exceeding 300mm. However i also have a Canon Powershot (semi compact) which has a 20 times zoom which will get a lot closer to the action than the 300mm and the 400mm lenses that I have.

So I’d assume they’d pull me up with the SLR if I took the larger lenses in, but would let the piddly little compact in despite how close it will get you to the action!

These days most reasonable compacts will have optical zooms that exceed 300mm lenses.

I think they need to get over themselves!

Bah enough of the legal talk!! Thanks for the pics nwonash - they're great. How's that first one of Jack with his arms outstretched. What a great shot of him. What a breathtaking example of our great game. Too bad the seats behind him were only sparsely occupied.
