Broady was fantastic yesterday

I thought Banks’ field kicking was good.

It saddens me to hear that guys like Rioli, Bakes and Bolton might go but this is a golden and essential opportunity to recharge the list for the future. If Dan goes, I bet Maurice follows him.

Miller bashing is fashionable but he’s had an excellent year from where he was.

Especially without our young gun in Gibcus.

Big, big kudos to the lad.

Willing to cut Prestia a bit of slack. I think he’s playing hurt, and he was our entire midfield yesterday.

I hate to see how bad we would be without our experienced players

OMG I'm agreeing with Carter on something haha. I really like Miller, reckon he'll continue to get better once we have a really stable backline, having a back 3 of talls in Gibcus, Miller and Balta would really set us up, Balta and Gibcus can intercept and get the ball moving the other way. Having Vlastuin and Broad alongside them, just makes that defence even stronger.

I think the same with TT too. Had a great year last year, has had a very in and out year this year with injury. I think Prestia will stay (especially if the exodus occurs) but won't be best 22 next year, he'll be a great rotation to bring in when we need to give the young lads a week or so break here and there.

Broad, very good.
Big V, busts a gut but gives up when hit dogs like miller don't commit to the contest.
Short. Delist
Rioli very good footballer surrounded by hot dogs
Baker. Tries hard, a better version of a Jake Kong.
Balta, Can't read the ball, he would be an option to stooge a club for a early 1st rounder.
Grimes finished last year
Martin finished
Prestia finished
Tarranto lazy and can't be *smile*
Hopper slower then Prestia and that nearly impossible
Miller Delist a clone of Johnny Manton
Nakas, got reamed by a bloke called cherry

I reckon our senior players, with the probably exception of Short have been good. When fit. Broad, Valstuin, Nank and DRioli are playing nearly as well as ever. and funnily enough they are the guys who havent been injured.

I've had the same thoughts about TT. You don't go from what he was doing last year to this without there being some outside factor.

Exactly. Continuity is everything. Injury interrupted seasons have a massive effect.

Nakas has been our most consistent this year.
But we can't go into next year just with 1 ruckman.
How did a shiit club like north find cherry?

Its amazing to me that our midfield is getting panned for the performance against the roos when that midfield created 60 inside 50s to 44. Don't be fooled by the possession count, the Kanga mids were kicking the ball around in circles many times padding their stats. I watched one piece of play where they had 7 possessions and ended up the same place they started.

Our midfield got plenty of ball and created plenty of opportunities but our delivery into the forward line was poor and our forward line was poor.

This.

I also thought Bakes was good yesterday and he was very good in the first half of the season as well but he has played like someone with his mind elsewhere for a month or so.

Think our issues extend a bit further than our senior players. Look at the players who were in their prime no longer at the club or missing for much or all of the season; Cotch, Reiwoldt, Edwards, Lynch, Astbury, Grimes, Dusty, Lambert, Houli.

You can't replace this quality overnight and we haven't tried, we've just kept trading away all our national draft picks over the years, partly because we were winning premierships and that's the nature of the beast, AFL's equalisation strategy. We were 2 years too late in commencing this process of turnover and I believe that's possibly cost us 5 years or more for a number of reasons.

Need guys like TT & Hopper.
Imagine what our midfield would be like without mature bodies. We seen it a few times with TT & Hopper injured.
This trade period is our most important moment since the 16 review.

Second tier rucks are always there. You have to go and do your homework. Ned Moyle at the Gold Coast, how much longer will he wait? Just signed a contract but I'm sure clubs were chasing him. Ethan Reid pushing in as well. Nick Bryan is sitting behind Sam Draper, something has to give there. Ned Reeves and Llyod Meek. Smart clubs find rucks that make the Little Ziggy's in three years time go 'How....

We need to be doing it, Ryan isn't close to a second ruck.

Evidently there are a few clubs coming hard for Nick Bryan this off season
