Imagine if Geelong were minus Hawkins, Blivas, Taylor, Stanley, Selwood, played an underdone Clanger and missing a few more foot soldiers, plus a lack of confidence!

Tigers had Rance, Reiwolt, Nanks, Astbury, Lambert, a fit firing Cotch, Lynch and a few extra foot soldiers to add from
How different the result would be. They are hot at the moment the cats but all things even our best side on paper would still be warm favorites come September at the G. We have the better kids no doubt about it just that they have been thrown into the cauldron together to early! Bring on our next meeting at the G!

I think we're a good chance to win the premiership, not everyone is thinking doom and gloom! We've shown some great signs for this year and also for the long-term.

My only concern is the young players seem to be playing to the scoreboard. That is, their performance is different once the scoreboard changes. In 2017-18, we were a very process-driven team and they almost never dropped their heads under scoreboard pressure. I want to see them more process-driven again, but that will come when more leaders return.

Maybe but this is assuming they all get back and are firing at the right time and we dont have more rotten luck on injury...

From here until September, it's actually more likely other teams will cop injuries to good players than us, because their players will be on the park every week :hihi

Cats for one, they don't know what a long term injury is atm, our issue is we have too many of them at once.

We'll be more process driven once we get players back, looking to the future this is great as the games these kids are getting are gold for them, our problem right now is we are having to play too many of them at once. As the original post stated if you reverse the injury scenario we'd have belted them off the park too. I hope we get to play them in September, they are the best team in it atm but it's only half way, we were doing this to sides this time last yr as well...
