Besides forking out $1.1 mill on a forward, that cant mark and kick straight, but all things aren’t that bad,
*We have found Stack and Baker,
*We have good trade options this year, bolton. Bulter and Rance
*We get a easier draw next year, 2 games against west coast, footscray and north maybe even a trip to sleepy hallow.
*We won a flag when no one rated us and but lost a flag when we were heavily favourites.
*A list management team that couldn’t do any worse then the last of couple of years

** back to drawing board. But At least the last 25-30 months on top of the mountain was great to watch.

That's a mixed bag there, Zipps.
2019 has been a difficult season to date and most likely will continue to be so.
I'm now starting to ponder 2020 for the Tigers.
RFC can and will still be a very strong team over the next few seasons, particularly if it drafting and recruiting continues along the trajectory it has been of late. The Club now needs to go hard for some players that can fill positions where the team needs further depth.

I remain optimistic for the immediate future. Will now start seeing the remainder of this season through the prism of developing players and seeing how the team deals with adversity.

This could be like a half-step back to aid a stronger team and club going forward.

I wished I'd seen this thread was started by Zipps before I opened it.

No doubt , this year is tough but still very competitive and the season is NOT over ...
With a full list next year + stack , Ross , Balta , Baker , Naish CD, Garth , ccj .Good luck picking our best 22 .
This gives us a huge boost for depth.
2020 will be a great year...

The writing was on the wall during last season, teams with tall marking forwards were hurting us.
West Coast , Kennedy & Darling
Adelaide, jenkins and Walker
Port Dixon
Collingwood Cox

So why wasn't a tall defender on the shopping list? When roughhead was given his marching orders from Footscray, why didnt we jump on him?
We wasted 2 spots on chol and Weller.
We saw what happens when new kids are given a opportunity.
I wouldve prefered 5 new untried kids then keeping Markov Menadue chol Townsend and Moore on the list.
The club had its blinkers on....

Yep, another experienced tall defender would be excellent.

Even missing out on Roughhead they shouldve traded for Collins who ended up at GC.
Injuries have hurts us, yes but regardless our defence was still missing a tall defender.
May wouldve been a better pick up regards to our needs..
