yeah,I know...there are a few on here that reckon i dont have a clue...and fair enuff. But here is my spin at the 500 metre mark of the 3200 metre race.
Geelong have a sad history.
I KNOW that they were the best side in 2007 but they beat Port Adelaide.
Any Victorian side would like to rip that tryhard club apart on that last saturday in September. That is motivation enuff...look what the saints did to em the other nite.
Geelong shoulda won last year but they didnt.Wht?because they were EXPECTED to win.
And this year is gonna test their head because it doesnt matter what you do in the home and away season...it matters diddly squat on the last day.
Just ask the Tigers of 1972.At least the mighty Tiges went back to back in 73 and 74.
Ask The Bombers .....
They were setting an unbelievable benchmark in 2000 .
They were invincible until that game at the Gabba when the Liars took it right up to em and that game was the catalyst for the liars to win 3 flags on the trot....the only reason that the liars didnt win 4 was because they played injured players in that granny against port Power who only played off in the granny cause when fraser kicked his 100th the saints fans gobbed off at the Port power players..while the dust settled ....
Back to the cats..
yes...they are one hell of a side but are they gonna walk the walk when it counts?
Its just that they have history thats all and lets face it....for all the great sides and players thay have had they hane not had much return for investment.
Look and the Gary Ablett era. no flags.
So my challenge to geelong more that ever is....a champion team will beat a team of champions...
I rest my case but If the Cats go all the way this year Ill be the first one to congratulate em.
Now Im looking forward to how the season pans out from here!
