It looks like it's the way the sites are set-up. Seems each player has an ID and the colour scheme and surrounding info related to the team is identified by something else in the URL.
It's just that there's no validation that the player identified by the ID in the URL actually plays for the identified team. So you can pattern the URL however you like but there are probably no pages that actually link to that URL.
