Apart from being a great name for a racehorse, metres gained always interests me. I noticed that Shai had over 900m gained a week or two ago and it got me thinking again if anyone has ever gone over the 1km ? What an achievement that's ould be !
Perhaps the stats boffins here could enlighten me/us all (I could probably do a google search but seriously, google is so busy I imagine searching stuff for $1M Island and The Bachelor or whatever for most of the population, that I don't want to get in the way and slow the whole thing down) what the record for metres gained in an AFL match is ?
Furthermore, this thread could act as the record keeper for metres gained for the site. Anyone that has a huge metres gained match like Shai or Shorty who is a perennial metres gained star could be recognised here.
