Am I alone in thinking we should maybe give some chances to guys who have been carving up some of the higher level state leagues, such as the WAFL, SANFL, VFL in the mold of players such as Liam Anthony, Greg Broughton and Robin Nahas?

Basically, I think players who are confident, are amongst the top players on their team and have had some experience could be at the very least good stop gaps and at the best maybe we could find some gems? This could possibly allow us to jettison more players than we usually do? I see a lot of the lesser players on our list as damaged goods and may be better to cull a lot of them if possible.

Also Mathew Egan? He would have to definitely be a career ended by injury right? Or would you suggest Salary Constraints are behind the cats delisting him (of course coupled with injury) - you may call me mad, but I would rather rehab him for a year or so and use a roster spot on our list than use it on a waste such as JON etc.

No doubt.

As long as they fall within the age limits of the rookie draft.

I believe that's U23.

definately need to get some older aged rookies, preferably from WAFL.
nd ur exactly right when u say RATHER TAKE A CHANCE ON A MATRURE KID THEN KEEP A PROVEN DUD.

is an artcle stating exactly this on journo board with interesting comments also.
