I sat and watched again last night, and tried to be as positive and supportive as I could. Whilst watching,I remembered what a couple of other sides have done regarding HONESTY and thought, "we really need to get honest before we can move forward.

The new Coach will do what he needs to do to the list, the guys will have their break, and get back into Pre season in October, then I'd suggest they go away to a undisclosed location, and look each other in the eye and HONESTLY appraise each other and make a COMMITTMENT for 2010,similar to what Geelong did.

One cant move forward unless he is aware of his strengths and shortcomings. There are some things that really need to be said amongst the team.

I listened in to Polak's post match interview on 3AW as I was walking home, and let me say,he should be applauded for his fantastic recovery, and tried his guts out for us last night, BUT he was asked about the team, and he said, "yeah, the guys have been real supportive, I couldnt have done it without them (true), and I think we have the list to win Premierships"........

I realise he is trying to trot out the team mantra, but a better comment might have been that "we are very angry and dissappointed at our efforts this year, they were not good enough, but I want to assure all Tiger fans to hang with us and know that things are changing for the better and finals are close for our young list".....

HONESTY....................HONESTY....................HONESTY.....................HONESTY...............HONESTY.................

Thats all I ask of the Tigers, a hard HONEST effort, unfortunately right now there are only 3-4 giving me any of it.

Well said

There is definate talent at the club and the problem is that they play in the wallet style of me me me , run ahead for the handball receive instead of protecting the bloke with the pill in his hand. I've said before that this style of play leads to poor decision making and constant pressure on the ball handler , This means skill errors .

Faith in your teammates will also lead to a lift when the chips are down

Congrats on the arrival Bignige, start working on his skills early and we'll see him leading the Tiges to the 2030 flag on that last day in Sept....... :clap :clap :clap

Yes, but not for football.

In all seriousness, the football talent on our list is so far behind teams that compete for flags that it is not funny. Teams like Geelong and Hawthorn (that have tasted the ultimate success) have more a grade players and greater depth. The only way we will ever win flags is by attracting top liners like the Abletts, Bartels, Franklins and Hodges.

These top liners always star against our meek players. Buddy made us look weak and second rate last night - and unless we get players like him we simply can't compete....

Yeah I heard that too...I posted somewhere else that after hearing that I thought that Polak must still be suffering from his head injury. Personally I was amazed no-one including either the interveiwer or the commentators back in the studio said anything. I guess they didn't want to rain on his parade and ruin his moment. Just Alice in Wonderland stuff.
