A friend of mine has just done her knee badly, all ligaments torn and kneecap busted..They are telling her that she may get 60% mobility back after 2 years  sounds similar to what dave astbury did a couple of years ago. Can anyone direct me to good info on LARS or other options? She is in Darwin, the hospital there is a butcher shop at best. I seem to remember an in depth discussion on here but can't find with a search. Thanks

Dr Cameron Norsworthy is Victorian based surgeon (who works with Julian Feller) thats done a lot of LARS.

Might be worth chasing him up (perhaps getting recomendations for other surgeons up north).

LARS may not be appropriate when the ligament is so damaged it cant be resown on the graft. Its important to act quickly though.

Otherwise google is your friend.

Might want to consider the surgeon that repaired Trent Hentschel's mess of a leg (the only thing holding his leg on was the skin).
