Article in todays hun about this kid. Geelong Falcons 200cm utility who plays CHB CHF or wing. Report claims he stunk it up a bit at the champs because they tried to ruck him.
Anyone have much idea about him as a prospect?
Would he be a mid to late pick or more likely as a rookie project type?

Whenever I've seen him, he's been in the ruck.

Not an early developer, like Kreuzer, Natanui, Vickery and others.

More likely to be one of those that you have on your list for a few years and slowly develop into an AFL standard ruckman by the time they're 24.

Seems a strange one Phantom.
AFL listing for him at the draft testing camp had him as a ruckman. Newspaper article today mentions him as being pushed into the ruck during the champs, his qoute " this could be interesting " would show he had no idea about rucking.
Kid claims to prefer CHB, seems to also have played CHF and mobile enough to run around the wing a bit. 200cm is a fairly long streak of pelican and it struck me he's about the same size and mobility as T.V. when we drafted him recently.
Was just a thought he may make a decent rookie prospect if he wasn't seriously noted as a mid to late draft choice.

Yes, with what you say, he could be a hidden gem.

I know that Vic Country were short for talls this year, excuse the pun.

Elton, a Josh Fraser type, was also pushed into rucking for them.

I have concerns about how what you say can happen in the TAC / Geelong Falcons system over probably 4-5 years in this boy's development.

If you are correct, then we have a boy that has more than one string to his bow - a 200cm kid who can do more than just jump in the ruck, which he doesn't at the moment do that well.

But I didn't follow the juniors this year and only saw him on one day at Princes Park.

I s'pose that's what the rookie list is there for.

You could even use pick #55 on him, for what it's worth.

That's exactly what the rookie list is there for

Certainly worth a rookie look at if Brewer and Brown have gone

is from powerful club south barwon, good kid with fantastic skills and has enormous inprovement to come, dont like playing ruck at this stage, but prefers the backline, has some growing to do still, wouldn,t hit his potential for some time, has body has a long way to go to develope to afl level, will inprove greatly has he has always done at junior level, has played in many sucessful sides

See that he got picked up by the Saints, be interesting to compare how he tracks against Elton John in coming years. Fairly similar height, build and mobility.
We've obviously taken the gun early and left the plodder for Saints later pick ;D.

Elton displayed no competitiveness problems against Lever ;)
