Just wondering if any of the die-hard Jack Dyer fans (or anyone else, for that matter) know anything of the old Metropolitan League where a young Jack dominated as a boy. He mentions a season in his book Captain Blood where he won the league B&F at 17 years old and played in a few pretty nasty games against Yarraville, amongst other clubs.

My grandfather played in those Yarraville sides. Curious to know of any history buffs might have any info to share.

Unlikely, I know. But never hurts to ask.

Thanks, all!

Sorry, just realised I probably haven't posted this in the correct section of the forum.

If mods could please move to where best suited, that'd be great. Sorry!
