Jack Riewoldt, thumb
"It's a short-term recovery. Jack's had a plate put into the base of the thumb, his metacarpal. It's a short-term turnaround, so he won't play this week and then we'll reassess his availability for next week."

Dion Prestia, hamstring
"It's quite a frustrating injury for us... Dion's had a fantastic preparation this year, uninterrupted, done a lot of work, put a lot of kilometres in, done a lot of strength work, and we've ended up with a soft tissue injury. It is on the minor side which is good news, he was out running today... With hamstring injuries, typically you injure the biceps muscle which is the large hamstring muscle and there are two other muscles that support that, the semitendinosus and semimembranosus. He's injured the semimembranosus component of his hamstring and the lower third of that, so it's on the minor side. Typically they turn around fairly quickly and that's what we're hoping will happen in this case. We're hoping to progress his running later in the week and then we'll have a more definitive timeline, but we're hoping it's fairly short-term."

Kamdyn McIntosh, calf
"Kamdyn ran today at top speed and he'll resume main training on Thursday this week. If he gets through that, he'll be available to play."

Nick Vlastuin, hamstring
"Nick's injury is a little bit more complicated. Nick's actually running flat out right now, he's pretty much close to top speed and he looks really great running. But, it was a kicking-related injury and the injury is quite low on his biceps muscle in his hamstring group. So, we're progressing his kicking in a very structured and specific manner, he's kicking a light football at the moment, short kicks, and that will be progressed stage by stage, increasing the distance and the size of the football to a point where hopefully he's kicking the full-size footy over a long distance in the next week or two. In terms of timewise, he's certainly not playing this week, and I'd say he's doubtful for the following week. But if we see some progression in the next week-and-a-half with his kicking, and then we can look at return to play. In the meantime, we're progressing that part of his rehab."

Kane Lambert, hip
"Kane stepped up his involvement in football last week and we're going to look to step it up again this week. He's doing most things in our training except our match play. Match play requires all forms of physical movement; laterally, bending down, picking up, top speed running, all those things. There are a number of things that he's now been able to do, we just need a body of work in those things. The final thing we need him to do is participate in a little bit of match play training which we're going to assess for Thursday. Once we get to that point, we're going to need a couple of weeks of backing up and doing that, and then we'll talk about match play. In the short-term, it's trying to get him to a point where he can participate in a little bit of match simulation at training, so we're going to assess that this week and see where we end up and we'll have an update next week."

Short term for Prestia is likely to mean 28 days with his history, so you are still looking at round 5 which is a trip to Adelaide so I'd be backing round 6.

Listening to Burge, he said it's on the minor side and Dion running today, will pick it up towards the end of the week.
I think either 3 or 4 weeks and he'll be set to play again. RD 4 (3 weeks) or RD 5 (4 weeks).

Tigga had the same issue last year where he could run but couldn't kick so a bit of a worry he has exactly the same issue and a strange one it is.

Yes, nice to hear Burge say Tigga running at full speed but is only kicking a small ball, will progress over next week to bigger balls.
From that I would say, RD 4 he will be playing.

Tigga only played 12 games last year missing a chunk of 4 games and then 5 respectively, (not a great trend).

The injury gods are hitting our best 22 early this year but as long as we are in contention and injury free at the sharp end of the season all will be fine
