Of the teams with a reasonable crack at the flag this year, if Geelong don't win it, that will be seven different premiers in seven years. First time that's happened ever. Previous record was six from 1963 to 1968.

At that rate we should pick one up by about 2019 at the latest. There is hope for us yet!
 
If Geelong don't win the flag this year then it will be the biggest waste of talent ever. 1 flag in 3 years for that group would be shocking.

Agree. It's the Paul Keating loss. They needed it otherwise nerves would've built on the players and coach throughout the finals.

I hope it's a Saints v Dogs GF.

yeah 9 of the 16 teams have won flags in the past 11 years. just shows the draft/salary cap system works for most.

The best GF senario for me would be Dogs v Coll, and back the Dogs the whole way!
