Space aliens will kidnap Tom Lynch as he is lining up after the siren to win it 5m out.
We'll be 5 points up with 5 seconds to go. The ball is on our attacking 50 and Brisbane win a free kick. Our player doesn't give the ball back and a 50m penalty is paid. The Lions player is assessing his options with the ball inside the centre square and Richmond player runs into the protected zone. Another 50m is paid. Lions player goals after siren from 30m out. Tigers lose by a point.
We don't need the flogs to help us *smile* up games. We have proven we are perfectly capable all on our own.
We'll be 6 points down and facing a kick after the siren. The player will kick the ball so hard the ball will split mid air, and the bladder of the ball will go through for a goal while the skin will go through for a behind. We'll be beaten by a point.
I really wish you hadn't posted that, I'll have nightmares all week.

What we haven't done is been blown away in the first and watched as the opposition buries us deeper each quarter.
Don't think it will happen but I don't want to see us lose by a massive margin.
What we need to do is to win for Cumbo, hasn't played in a winning team yet - do it for Cumbo! Oh, and for Edwards' 300th.

Well we’ve seriously been conditioned to expect soul wrenching disappointment now.
The look on the supporters faces when the siren went was one of bemused resignation / anger / frustration / dark humour.
Well it’s the lions. We need something new. Maybe we could get some kind of goal with 2 seconds left to hit the lead. Then in our excitement to celebrate we have
A) too many players on the ground and get our score wiped
OR
B) do our second 6-6-6 infraction for a free from the middle before the ball is bounced and then have someone running to defend the subsequent kick go through the protected zone for 50m penalty and get a dissent 50m for complaining about it so the barometer (who gets recalled) can kick it from the square.

I don't think there's any doubt we are the most dramatic and entertaining side in the competition from the neytral supporters and AFL's perspective. Incredibly frustrating from our perspective.
Surely if nothing else, we get more free to air and more Friday night games next year? Or possibly a Logie for best drama series.
