How Does He Get Away With This?

Since some people are getting p!ssed off with new anti Frawley posts, i though i'd put up another!

How the HELL does a senior coach get away with the complete stupidity that Frawley displays without getting a media mauling.

Firstly, we are 5 goals down at half time so we pack the defence.

What this means is we have given up on winning when 5 goals down at half time. We are simply trying to loose by "not too much"!!

If this is not a LOOSERS CULTURE, then what is.

I pay my membership to see us try to win games, not actually try to "Loose by not much"!!!

HOW DOES HE THEN GET AWAY WITH THESE AFTER MATCH COMMENTS:

1) If we'd kicked 5.2 instead of 2.5 in the first qtr, it could have been a different story. - What game were you watching Danny???

2) That he was happy with the effort of the players!

3) "If you take the second qtr out of it, the game was probably a nil all draw"

WHICH IS EXACTLY MY POINT ENTIRELY!

If you pack your defence, it will be a nil all draw. But a nil all draw when you are starting 5 goals down at half time - GREAT STRATEGY!!!

Look at the list Dean Laidley has to work with compared to ours, but how easily does he accept defeat? Put simply - he doesn't accept it. Our bloody coach not only accepts it, he INVITES it!

Just listen to the guy talk! As well as the stupid cliche's, he keeps using negative words "probably", "hopefully" etc. etc. Listen to say a Mark Harvey, and how positive and forthright he is. And Harvey isn't even a senior coach yet.

If Frawley doesn't believe in our team, than how can the players. I fear to think of the quality players we might loose if this goes on much longer.

I'm sorry, if this post is full of venom for the man, but i can't see any strategy in our play other than "flood back"!

He's a strategic imbecile. If he was on a bigger stage, he'd be remembered as the biggest strategic imbecile since Custer saying "Let's go wup some indians before General Reno gets here and tries to take all the credit"! or the inhabitants of Troy saying "Oh look at the lovely big wooden horse they've left us! Lets drag it in through the gates and admire it!

I'm really sorry about how negative this is - but i CANNOT BELIEVE that the club is so in support of a coach that DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO WIN.

One thing i will say that take Lloyd out of the game and Essendon were nearly as pathetic as us.
They turned the ball over just as much as we did.
Lucky they had Lloyd.

I remember being 5 goals down at half time in the '95 second Semi Final in 1995. What did Swooper do. Go negative, I suggest not.

Agree frickenel. Spud gets off very lightly. I am so sick of the club telling us how well he has the team going, how everyone supports him etc.

The facts are there. The negative way the team plays. The position on the ladder. The falling membership. The lack of passion around the place. The crap list. The players under achieving. The lack of disclipine, etc etc etc

There is no way the coach can be exempt from blame. I am very concerned with the clubs official statements on Danny.

They might just be spin doctoring, but the scary thought they might actually believe Danny has everything on track.

I know Rosy, it baffles me.

the club is coming out in support of Frawley, but i haven't heard peep out of them in terms of support for Richo, and he deserves support a lot more than Frawley.

To agree with the administrations support of Frawley as coach is saying that we support losers and the foolish decisions' they make.
In all honesty,from what I've read on this forum we alone would run the club with with more pride and aplomb than the group of assholes who are only there at the moment because they can't work out how to fill in a dole form.
What a sad, gut wrenching situation.

Nah oh well when we get otto, dutchy,and gas back it will be a different side.What was that ,otto and dutchy are playing,well I am. I think we all put in didn't we ? and a couple more runs for pitiful, he will be match fit by then .whats that the seasons over,wasn't this just a pre season warmer ah i think it is called the wizard cup.Nah i think in three weeks time the team will jell well together we are not far from a few wins now.I think we have done well to get this close today with all the injurys we have yah beck and me have done such a good job over the last few years.We will both go down in in the hall of fame together as the two biggest DUDS that R F C club has had.But after next year we both will be available as winning football consultants don't you think?

This concerns me a bit too. I can just imagine if people stick by the club and buy memberships next season, the honchos will take that as a vote of confidence in the way things have gone this year. I can almost see the articles now with them blowing their own trumpet.

I will buy our memberships and I'll continue to try and convince others to as well, but I don't want that to be seen as me being the least bit happy with either the onfield efforts and coaching or the media treatment of the fans either.

I will buy our memberships DESPITE all of that.

My thoughts exactly! I did hear Lyon and Eddie commentating on the same thing during the game. Lyon sounded like a better coach than our care-taker.

I will renew my membership again next year but I would like somehow to be able to convey to the RFC that whilst I am renewing it is not because I back the clubs current "everything is apples" approach when it clearly isn't. I am real scared that we are looking down the tunnel of another few disastrous years like the late 80's and we as a club cannot afford this to happen.

We have been shocking the last two weeks and it is about time the club and players showed me and the rest of the supporters some mongrel (not the *smile* ass Fleming type)!!

ladies and gentlemen.... you are all looking at this the wrong way... what the RFC gives us members every year is a fantastic drama, that gives us value for money, where else could you get the emotion rollercoster ride packed with disappointment, sadness, people dreaming a dream and at the end of the show get a great deal of laughter from what is the biggest clown of them all D.Frawley.

I think we get our money's worth to be honest ;D

but yes after all what else do we expect when we sign the 4th choice coach from a team that never knew what success was even if it hit him in the face (saints) and a guy who got all his coaching experiance by being an assistant with the pies under what some could consider to be the worst coach in the 90's in tony shaw.

I love the Tiges,always have and always will,just like all of us here.Unfortunately I wont be with you on the membership trail next year - I just can't support those guys'and the simplistic point of view they try to impose on us.It's obvious they think we are all dumb asses and they hardly seem to embrace our real opinions with any aknowledgement but instead choose to further isolate the situation by openly blaming the list as the real problem. I feel really sorry for Richo.I know he's a sook and not a good captain but he is a real Richmond person and under Frawley has played at about 40% of his potential.The result is now we're talking trading him for younger blood. Where's the Richmond at Richmond nowdays??? It's a complete sham and I can do without the drama.It just kills me to watch it happening and know that there isn't a thing we can do about it.
Good on you for renewing your membership Rosy3 but I can't see me doing the same right now. Maybe if they lose the spud, Brittain etc but until then I'll be in my lounge chair counting the losses. (I'm even starting to think like Frawley - !!!)

You're not the only one Ox. I know quite a few people who won't be joining up next year, family members included.

I have rellos whose membership money has been a donation to help the club.
Thye are disgusted the way that money is used and the members are treated and reckon they have better things to do with the money themselves.

I understand completely.

I'm looking forward to the membership package to see these sweeteners we've heard so much about. Promising first option on finals tickes amuses me a bit, we would have saved a fortune if we waited for the unlikely event of Richmond ever making a grand final and just paid a scalper.

Geez, this is so depressing! The one good (?) thing about this season is that I only took out an "On the Bench" membership. What's good about that? I didn't outlay too much money on the circus that used to be known as RFC with ringmaster Danny and all the clowns around him. I'd really be down in the dumps if I'd paid full membership! BTB, I just noticed on my card that if I present this at the Tigers Den I receive a 5% discount... could we get that back on Pontiac's salary? And on the front of same card, it says "Forever Richmond Football Club"...should that be changed to "Whenever"?
