How about this for a horror draw?
For the last 8 games this is what we cop.
Round 18.....West Coast....away
Round 21.....WB at Marvel, which we hate.
Round 22....Saints at Marvel, 2 weeks in a row that is.
Round 24.....Port Ad. away, yet another travel interstate.
Yes, we do have 4 at the G, but that is negated by the above.
We have already come off 3 out of 4 games interstate and have to bear another 2.
Is there another Vic. team that has to travel interstate so much?
And, what other teams have to play 2 in row at Marvel?
Let's hope for a better draw next year, buy don't hold your breath.

Win 6 and we need results to go our way but more likely than not to play finals
Win 5 or less we have September free

Question then is can we do any damage in the finals anyway.

Can't complain about instate trips as we would have to go to Brisbane and Adelaide if we were to win a few finals.

And there’s that extra away game that everyone bar the SA sides gets due to the extra round that no one wanted or asked for, but the AFL gave us anyway.

I have us finishing 7th playing the dogs in week 1 of the finals.

I dont think we are struggling. But that game could dent confidence. Time will tell. Kill for a forward.

Sainters and / or doggies may not be in the 8 by the time we play them but these 2 games are both potentially 8 point games or the finals have arrived early type of games.

We have to beat teams in the bottom half of the 8 to take their place - simple.

If we can’t beat these two teams, then we are just making up the numbers I am afraid.

Virtually no chance now. If we win 6 of last 8, need Giants, Dockers, Suns, Swans and Blues to win no more than 5 and two of Cats, Dons, Crows to win no more than 4. We won't win 7 games but even then would be only a rough chance, 14 wins looking a high possibility now for 8th spot.

Should have done it earlier but time to play more youngsters, see what they have at AFL level.

everyone had a massive sook after we got those 7 consecutive games at the MCG in 2019 and we are being punished for it.
