Can someone with any book regarding  the history of Richmond football players kindly inform of any references to a fellow named John Jenkins. He would've played in the 60's.

thanks evo.

evo , John Jerker Jenkins played between 1953 (3rds) and1959 for a total of 34 senior games and 34 goals , he played as a ruckman and was also a member of reserves premierships in 54 and 55 , he left and played 71 senior games at north this info straight from "The Tigers Of Old" book

fantastic taztiger.Much appreciated.Thats what I was looking for.

He was my primary school best mates old man.He  played games for north but I'd never realised he also played for the Tiges. He used to take us into the North change rooms in the 70's.I watched him get M.S and slowly died. Was very sad to see such a large and fit man slowly be eaten away.

Anyway.Thanks for the info.

cheers.

Evo, he also coached Vermont in the EDFL (as it was then) with some distinction. Very highly regarded by all at the club. Must have been in the mid 70's, was followed as coach by another giant ex tiger - John Ronaldson.

Yeah.I used to go watch Vermont games with him.

He was also very active at our local jumior footy club in Doncaster.Along with the Dugdales, another North footy playing family.

They named an award after him at the club.Pretty sure our very own Andy Collins won it. :thumbsup

different Jerker Jenkins L+B

That was Graeme 'Jerker' Jenkins for Collingwood.
