In the last week the Tigers have

1) Announced Benny as CEO, with Wright staying on as a consultant
2) Signed our first Irish recruit
3) Re-signed a major sponsor (Luxbet)
4) Held their nerve while North Melbourne when through the assistant coach phone book until they got to 'S'

Now they have their 4 preferred coaching candidates and have to pick the best one. All of the other stuff is good, but won't mean much unless they get this decision right (and draft better players, and do a better job of developing them, and change the club culture)

Well said, Ty, at least for once the club are heading in the right direction in some ways. It is a truth that once a club can get all the off field things right the onfield takes care of itself.

Agreed. The road to success left to us by Wallet and Miller is going to be a long one. Small steps.

Watching the Tigers last two weeks has been the football equivalent of being a Berlin resident in 1945 as the Red Army took the city. You knew things were going to get worse before they got better but you didn’t realise quite how bad they would be.

But even in the darkest hours things start to turn and there has been some good news lately.

Are you sure? It feels like we have been recruiting Irish Footballers for years!

It's an easy mistake - Butch Gale and Sugar both kicked backwards and so many of our players have looked like they are trying to kick a different shaped ball

when was it announced that Luxbet has signed on for another season?

Was on the scoreboard at the game. But I guess we weren't paying too much attention to it at the time :hihi

Off field we continue to kick goals. We need development and resources to replicate that on field, we need a new coach who will bring some touch love and to be supported by the club in the decisons he makes.
